On the 100th year of Singapore's founding father, Lee Kuan Yew, I decided to do a series of illustration tribute posters and designed a tribute logo to share with Singaporeans and the world to remember him by. Using two key colours which is red symbolising patriotism, equality and blue for freedom, inspiration. To bring the story  to life,  when scanned, the poster opens up with a little video that captures that particular scene relating to the story in the poster.

 

Artwork 1 "Making Waves"

The idea is based on the insight "From a water-scarce nation, today Singapore has become a global water hub – CNN report" is to show how he brought change into this  in our water resources. When scanned with your mobile phone, an AR video pops up that captures the topic on overcoming SIngapore's water struggle.

Artwork 2 "Restore Order"

The idea is based on the insight "In 2023, Singapore remains as the top 10 safest country in the world to travel – The Global Peace Index" captures his iconic character as a firm and iron-claded way of running the country using the example when Singapore Airline pilots went on strike in 1980.  When scanned with your mobile, an AR video pops up that captures that scene.

 

An iconic tribute logo mark was also developed as a symbol of excellence to remember his legacy. The works are shared on social media platforms such as facebook, Linkedin and Instagram.
